Ways to spend time with your children during the pandemic
This time during a global pandemic we cannot start missing out on time with our family members. Everyone can benefit from spending time together since it will provide connection, support, and avoid depressive symptoms haunting the most vulnerable member of the family - children.
It’s time to unpack the dusty game boards! Play monopoly, twister, cards, chess – anything that will connect the family with each other, create a fun and warm atmosphere in the house.
How about getting crafty? Take out pencils, paints, and brushes to unleash children's creativity and add color to their life. Bake a cake, make a favorite dish for your children involving them in the process. Crafts do not have to be extravagant, expensive, or take a long time. It can be something simple as teaching your children how to sew a button.
Go to the backyard to plant a garden or participate in ball games! It is essential for children to receive daily fresh air, to spend their energy, and enjoy their time outside. Try to plant your own fruits or vegetables that are familiar to children or spend time playing together and laying on the grass.
